Riley McChesney serves as the President and CEO of McDougall Auctioneers, bringing a personable and client-focused approach to the role. Known for his positive attitude and friendly demeanor, Riley prioritizes building strong relationships with clients, ensuring they feel valued and well-served.

Since joining McDougall Auctioneers in 2010, Riley has taken on various roles, each contributing to the company's growth and success. With a background in construction, sales and operations, including a crane operator's certificate, he has brought a hands-on understanding of the industry to his leadership. Riley is proud to have been part of a team that navigated the transition from traditional to online auctions, a shift that has positioned McDougall Auctioneers as an industry leader.

Riley's work is grounded in collaboration. He values the collective efforts of the McDougall Auctioneers team and believes that their combined expertise and dedication have been key to the company's achievements. His role in acquisitions and business expansion both locally and internationally and is supported by a team of professionals who share a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.

Born in Saskatchewan, raised in Vancouver as part of a large, business-oriented family, Riley was exposed early on to the importance of teamwork and shared success. This perspective continues to guide him as he works with his colleagues to steer McDougall Auctioneers toward new opportunities and growth.

While overseeing his team, Femi manages the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, overseeing the preparation and reporting of accurate and timely financial reports. Advising on long term business and financial planning.

Through continued execution of these tasks, his goal is to formulate a clear financial plan that projects an expectation of what to work towards, while also helping influence the growth of the company.

Femi is an avid Saskatchewan Roughriders fan and enjoys spending time with his family.

Chad Guay brings over a decade of experience in asset management, appraisals, and liquidations, with a specific focus on industrial and retail sectors. Since joining McDougall Auctioneers in 2017, Chad has made significant contributions, starting as a Sales Associate, Director of Appraisals & Liquidations, and now serving as VP of Sales as well as a partner. His responsibilities include providing optimized asset evaluations, overseeing large-scale Insolvency liquidations, restructuring, and asset sale operations for a variety of businesses. In addition, Chad oversees all sales company-wide.


Chad puts his performance management and organizational skills to good use. He thoroughly understands our clients' specific sales needs, allowing him to market large dispersals, challenging files, and small projects with a innovative and dynamic efficiency. Chad also assesses fluctuating businesses, offering expertise in turnaround, restructuring, and asset sale situations for large-scale asset management organizations.


Chad's expertise in negotiating and executing large-scale asset sales has helped McDougall Auctioneers grow its reputation as a trusted partner for asset management and liquidation needs. He is also an active member of the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group and holds a Bachelor of Arts.


Beyond his professional life, Chad has a passion for travel and fitness, which helps him maintain a balanced and energetic approach to both his work and personal life. With strong leadership skills and a dedication to client success, Chad continues to drive innovation and efficiency in asset management, ensuring McDougall Auctioneers remains a leader in the industry.

Jay Francis is the VP of Operations at McDougall Auctioneers Ltd., where he has been a driving force since 2014. In his leadership role, Jay oversees operations across all company locations, including Regina, Saskatoon, Brandon, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Toronto, Quebec and USA, and continuously works to streamline and enhance operational efficiency. He plays a critical role in scheduling and coordinating auctions across various sectors.
Jay's expertise extends to conducting appraisals of diverse assets such as commercial equipment, industrial machinery, farm equipment, vehicles, and more. His clientele includes private individuals, financial institutions, legal firms, government departments, trustees in bankruptcy, and insurance companies. Jay has successfully administered individual auctions with values exceeding $20 million and has been instrumental in launching operations in new cities.
A notable achievement in Jay's current role has been his leadership in expanding McDougall Auctioneers' footprint, with the successful annually establishment of operations in key locations such as Brandon, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Toronto, and Quebec. His ability to drive sales speaks to his strategic oversight and understanding of the auction industry. His efforts in launching new markets and optimizing internal processes have positioned McDougall Auctioneers as a leader in asset sales and appraisals.
Jay's educational experiences has equipped him with the skills necessary to excel in auction management, business strategy, and operational leadership.
Outside of work, Jay enjoys basketball, carpentry, and spending time with his family. These interests not only reflect his passion for physical activity and hands-on projects but also his commitment to family. In 1982, in his hometown of Langbank, Saskatchewan, and with the support and assistance of his family, Loren McDougall began down the path that would become his, and his family's, life work.

Starting with mostly rural auctions, hand perforated bid sheets and a talent for talking to people, Loren McDougall started an auctioneering company.

Over the last 40 years, McDougall Auctioneers Ltd. has grown from a one-man operation to a multimillion dollar business that touches every member of the McDougall family. Today, McDougall Auctioneers Ltd. is a recognized leader and innovator in the field of commercial, industrial, real estate and agriculture marketing.

Loren credits his ability to talk to people, his priority of choosing family before all else and an accessible leadership style for his successes. Loren chooses his team based on initiative and ability and develops relationships with care. He empowers his team through delegated management and trusts that each person will deliver on and even exceed McDougall Auctioneers' customer promises.

The shift away from conventional to online auctions gave Loren a chance to expand their customer base through the western provinces and into the online world. Loren's challenge to his team at the time and was to adapt to and overcome obstacles and achieve new goals.

Today, Loren enjoys working as the Senior Business Development Advisor of McDougall Auctioneers Ltd. and time spent with his family both at the office and at home. His challenge to his team now is to keep the focus on people in a growing online world.

Chad joins McDougall Auctioneers as a road salesman with a wealth of experience and skills well-suited for our team.

He has experience as a territory manager and in sales of building materials, industry, power transmission, heavy equipment as well as asset management. In his past jobs, he demonstrated continued success with increased year-to-year revenues.

As a strong sales professional, he possesses skills in negotiation, inside sales, outside sales and customer service. Chad utilizes these skills as a customer-focused seller who generates leads and builds and nurtures relationships with clients.

His goals for the company include researching customers needs and identifying how our solutions support them. He would also like to represent our company with a complete and thorough understanding of what we offer.

In his time away from work, Chad enjoys camping and fishing with his family as well as coaching his two boys' hockey team.

Joining McDougall Auctioneers with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the U of S, Tanya is in charge of leading and supervising the Accounting team in the Finance department. This also includes payables, receivables, payroll, tax remittances, bank recs, asset acquisition, depreciation, prepaids, and accrual entries as well as preparation of monthly financial statements.

Through direct work experience, Tanya has developed strong analytical, budgeting, forecasting, administrative, and bookkeeping skills. She's also been responsible for all aspects of the accounting cycle.

With the demands that come from Accounting work, McDougall Auctioneers benefits from Tanya's strong organizational and time management skills, as well as her multi-tasking and adaptability to different situations and changing environments.

Her goals for the company are to continue to work on getting accurate financial statements out in a timely manner and help develop procedures relating to accounting to create consistencies across all locations.

Tanya enjoys spending time outdoors and supporting her three children during their extra-curricular activities.

He worked for 20 years at a Manitoba-based steel company and has spent time as a crane operator, heavy equipment operator and outside sales rep.

Mike's goals for the company include solving customer problems, controlling business cost and exceeding customer expectations daily. Meeting these goals will help see the company grow.

In his time away from work, Mike enjoys fishing, boating, playing hockey and baseball as well as spending time with his wife and young son at their cabin.

Curt is one of the newer members of the South Sask Equipment Appraisals and McDougall Auctioneers Ltd team. He's excited to be part of the company's growth and has been enjoying introducing the company to clients all over Saskatchewan and further afield.

After finishing high school Curt trained as an agriculture technician at Olds College then spent several years in Australia, where he added to his skills by working as a welder, plumber and general builder. Curt returned to Canada with his wife and young family in 2010 then spent a decade increasing his equipment knowledge by working as an agriculture technician near his hometown of Kelvington, Saskatchewan.

Having bought and sold a wide range of equipment for his ranch and custom combining operation, Curt is ideally suited to accurately appraise a variety of equipment, machinery and other items. Curt enjoys facilitating communication between customers and takes satisfaction in a job well done. His honesty and attention to detail, combined with his down-to-earth approach and agricultural knowledge and expertise, ensures the best possible results for customers.

In his spare time, Curt enjoys working with cattle and horses on his ranch and spending time with his family.

Curt grew up on a grain, sheep and cattle farm and began helping with the operation at a young age. In the summers between attending college he oversaw the management of a manure injection crew. After moving to Australia, Curt worked as a welder and a water treatment system technician then began building high-end houses. He learned many different aspects of the building trade, including carpentry, plumbing, roofing, painting, cabinetry, brickwork, concrete work, tiling and landscaping. After moving back to Canada, he worked as an agriculture technician on a variety of equipment, including combines, tractors and semis, while running a ranch and custom combining operation. Curt started working with McDougall Auctioneers Ltd as a sales representative then transitioned to working in the South Sask Equipment Appraisals division as an appraiser at the beginning of 2022.

Cory Hall is the Real Estate Division Manager at McDougall Auctioneers, where he brings over 12 years of auction experience, including 9 years in the real estate sector. Since joining McDougall Auctioneers in May 2016, Cory has been instrumental in managing and overseeing all real estate transactions, offering expert advice on marketing strategies, appraisals, and evaluations for properties ranging from $10,000 to $3.5 million. His work includes building and maintaining key business relationships with law firms, financial institutions, and strategic partners.



A notable achievement in Cory's career is securing multi-year contracts with the Government of Saskatchewan's Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Parks, Culture, and Sport. He has also led real estate auctions with transaction values reaching up to $9 million.



Outside of work, Cory is an avid reader and a former private pilot with a passion for naval and aviation history. He also holds a scuba certification. His core values include honesty, transparency, accuracy, and respect for individuals and their beliefs.
